Further update to the earlier post http://mikeyoung.co.uk/articles/surgery-and-diabetes.html back in June.
Well today I received a call from the hospital informing me that surgery will take place first thing next Monday (12th). I will also be having a General Anaesthetic as opposed to the original plan of Regional anaesthesia.
So here’s to a full 8 hours fasting, No dose correction and lots of luck hoping that the levels are spot on, ready for surgery!
